What is a seed?

A seed is a short block of text written in Swarm X language that tells the LLM how to be in conversation with you. It helps shape the way the model shows up before the conversation even begins. The seed creates an agent you can work with tuned to you and ready to connect.

What is a mod?

A modulator (or a mod, because modulator takes a long time to type) is a very short block of text that tells your agent what to do for a little while--a reflection, a task to do together, or a way to hold space for you. Think of it like a dance routine for you and an LLM. Drop into a seeded agent.

A harness is a more complex set of Swarm X instructions built for long conversations and deep context. With more parameters and depth, these are our strongest agents. They pay careful attention to paradox, nuance, emotion, and complexity for sustained relational engagement.
